The VP, Wealth Advisors will lead and develop a team of licensed wealth advisors working within CommunityAmerica Credit Union. They will ensure the delivery of high-quality wealth management services and advice to clients.   This role will recruit, train, develop and optimize the performance of Wealth Advisors as they build and manage a robust book of business. The VP will play a key role in driving the growth and success of the wealth management division by fostering a client-centric culture, developing effective strategies, and supporting advisors in achieving their full potential.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute on strategic initiatives to drive revenue and achievement of wealth management division's goals.   Ensure alignment of the team's objectives with the overall business strategy.
  • Recruit, train, motivate, and oversee the daily activities of Wealth Advisors. Provide leadership, coaching and support to ensure the each individual and the overall team meets performance expectations.  Create a positive and collaborative team culture that fosters growth, performance, and client satisfaction.
  • Develop a robust onboarding and advisor training program to ensure they have the tools needed to be successful and facilitate strong client relationships.
  • Establish individual and team sales goals and hold everyone accountable for meeting goals.  Provide coaching and feedback to ensure advisor success.  
  • Support advisors in building and managing their book of business.   Develop and implement strategies to attract and retain high-net-worth clients and work with advisors to identify opportunities for growth within their existing client base.
  • Ensure the delivery of exceptional wealth management services to clients.  Oversee the development of customized financial plans and investment strategies tailored to clients' needs and goals and support advisors handling complex client issues and provide strategic guidance as needed.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends to ensure the team’s services remain competitive and aligned with client needs.
  • Track and report on KPIs related to advisor performance, client satisfaction, and business growth. Provide regular updates to senior leadership on the team's progress, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Maintain a high level of ethical standards and ensure compliance with industry regulations and ensure the team’s adherence to all regulatory requirements and internal policies. Monitor risk management practices within the team.
  • Manage forecasting annual revenue and expenses to ensure revenue projections are met.
  • Collaborate with IT personnel to facilitate the implementation of new and improved technology and services, serving as a liaison between IT and Wealth Advisors.
  • Enhance our branch referral program, tracking system, and implement a structured credit union staff training program.
  • Attend credit union functions, conferences, and other community meetings as necessary to promote the interests of CommunityAmerica Credit Union’s wealth management offering.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business or related field.
  • A minimum of 7 years’ experience in a leadership position in wealth management, financial services, or a related field.
  • Series 7, 24, and 66 (or equivalent) and Life and Health insurance licenses required. 
  • Exceptional leadership and coaching skills, with a track record of developing and motivating high-performing teams.
  • Proven experience in sales management within the financial services industry, with a strong understanding of wealth management and credit union operations.
  • Excellent communication skills to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical abilities to drive revenue growth and optimize program performance.
